There is no right or wrong answer — only different stories waiting to be discovered.
Once upon a time, there lived a mayor of a super-connected city, home to mythical creatures and humans, celebrating the birth of his beloved daughter. He had invited all the citizens to come and meet the baby and celebrate. Among the guests were three fairy godmothers who were to give their blessing to the girl, named Aurora.
However, one person in particular had not been invited: the fourth fairy. The mayor refused to invite her because of her inability to fly. He considered this a curse and feared it would be passed on to his precious and only daughter.
While the fairies were giving their blessing to the child, the fourth fairy suddenly arrived with a tremendous crash. She sprinted towards the cradle and cast a curse upon poor, innocent little Aurora.
The third fairy hastened to try to undo the spell. "I cannot reverse the curse, I can only find a way to break it. If someone who truly knows you reaches out to you before midnight, the curse can be broken." The Mayor, furious, banished the fourth fairy from the city.
Immediately, the Mayor made a radical decision: all the screens in the city would be turned off on Aurora's 18th birthday. Smartphones confiscated, computers locked, digital billboards unplugged.
The day before her birthday, Aurore was walking in a neighboring town with her friends, unaware of these precautions. That's where she came across an old woman on a bench, her bag on the ground, her papers blowing in the wind.
She stops and helps the old woman
She continues her path without helping
Without hesitation, Aurora simply helped her, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. The old woman was actually the fairy who couldn't fly, disguised as a townsperson to put her past life behind her.
The fairy looked at the girl, and something inside her snapped.
That night, she cried, consumed by guilt, knowing full well what would become of the innocent Aurora.
It was the eve of Aurora’s 18th birthday, and she had invited her best friend over for a pyjama party. They stayed up laughing, sharing secrets, losing track of time entirely. The city outside was silent and screenless, just as the mayor had ordered.
When the clock struck midnight, something shifted in the air. Aurora’s best friend had fallen asleep on the couch. Aurora, still wide awake, rummaged through her bag for something to listen to, and found it: an old mp3 player she had completely forgotten about. One of those ancient devices that worked without any connection, so no one had thought to confiscate it.
The curse was smarter than the mayor.
The screen turned on. The girl put her eyes on it. And everything stopped.
Like a silent wave, the curse spread through the city. The people froze in place one by one, drawn into an invisible digital abyss. But because the enchantment moved through the city gradually, person by person, her best friend, fast asleep beside her, had not yet been taken.
He woke to find her frozen in the glow of the tiny screen. He shook her, called her name. Nothing. That was when the old woman from the bench appeared at the window, wrapped in shadow.
She goes to help Aurora's best friend
She goes to see the result of the curse
But she chose to pay no attention to the old woman. After all, the beautiful city was just waiting to be visited. From a distance, the old woman — the banished fairy in disguise — watched silently as the proud girl went about her day, unchanged. Despite Aurora's indifference, the fairy felt no guilt, or at least, none she was willing to face.

She goes to see the result of the curse
She leaves without looking back
His best friend was right there beside her. He shook her and shouted her name. Nothing.
He agrees and joins forces with the fairy
He refuses and tries to wake Aurora alone
Full of guilt, she decided to go and see the full effects of her curse. As she arrived in Aurora's room, she saw her trapped in the digital nightmare of her creation. Beside the girl, her best friend was shouting and trying to wake her up — but to no avail.
The boy looked desperate and when he heard the fairy, he begged for her help.
She agrees to help the best friend
She leaves and nobody is saved
Full of rage after her encounter with Aurora, she decided to go and see the full effects of her curse. As she arrived in the room of the sleeping beauty, she saw her trapped in the digital nightmare of her creation. Beside the girl, her best friend was shouting and trying to wake her up.

She leaves and nobody is saved
He decided to join forces with the old fairy to save the one he loved. He took Aurora's hand and spoke of the memories they shared — the silly things they'd done, the laughter they'd shared. Meanwhile, the fairy gently wove a thread of light around the mayor's daughter to help her emerge from the darkness.
And soon the young girl woke up — and with her, all of the town's people. The mayor saw the fairy that had saved his precious girl and bowed his head in shame.
He extended a trembling hand… and after a quiet moment, the fairy took it — not with anger, but with a fragile, forgiving light that softened the world around them.
He was still there, shouting her name, shaking her all over, hating this digital world that had taken her away. He felt guilty for not remembering that old device she used so often to listen to music…
The best friend did not want to work with the fairy who cursed his lover. He shouted at her and asked her to live.
"But you will be cursed too if you don't do anything !" Said the old fairy.
"At least I will be with the one I love forever." Answered the boy a second before the curse caught him, like the rest of the town.
The fairy felt sad, very sad, she tried everything to uncursed the girl, but It was too late. The anger she felt that day she was betrayed was so strong that even with all her guilt she couldn't fix her error.
Unfortunately, after several intense minutes searching for ways to save the one he loved, the curse caught up with him — and he joined her in that digital void forever.
And so the boy took the hand of the one he loved more than anything, and spoke to her, reminiscing about everything they had been through, while the fairy slowly wove a thread of light to help Aurora out of the darkness.

As the boy stood there powerless, tears rolling down his cheeks, the fairy saw the bond that the two shared and couldn't help but feel immense guilt for what she had done.

The fairy looked one last time at the kingdom that rejected her, slowly being taken over by her curse, she walked away knowing that the young girl and her father deserved this tragic fate for treating those with a difference with such disregard. And so she disappeared, never to be seen again, as she left this kingdom to rot and be forgotten by history.
The kingdom remained plunged in an eternal sleep, wrapped in silence. Years passed, then centuries, and no one remembered Aurora or the city that once was.
